Baked zucchini chips

  • Ingredients
    1 large zucchini (peeled and cut into ¼ inch slices), 2 tablespoons of olive oil, ¼ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper, ½ teaspoon garlic powder.
  • Method of preparation
    Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Arrange the zucchini slices on a nonstick baking sheet. Make sure you do not overlap the zucchini. Brush the zucchini slices with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Flip the slices over and repeat. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes flipping them halfway. Allow the slices to cool. They can be stored in airtight containers; however, do not store them for more than a week.

    All you need is 2 to 3 mangoes for this recipe.
  • Method of preparation
    After deseeding and blending the mango pulp, you can spread the pulp on baking sheets and bake in the oven for 3 to 4 hours. Yes, you read it right, 3 to 4 hours. Once they are dried out, cut them into small pieces as per your liking. The same snack is available in stores but a lot of sugar is added to it. Besides preservatives are added too.

Roasted chickpeas

Chickpeas are a protein-filled snack. Roasted chickpeas are very flavorful and easy to make.

  • Ingredients
    You will need 1 cup canned chickpeas, salt, garlic powder, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Method of preparation
    Drain the canned chickpeas and dry them using a paper towel. Toss the chickpeas and add some oil in a medium-sized bowl. Following that, add the spices and bake it. Turn them around frequently while baking as they can burn easily. Preheat the oven to 350ºF and bake for 25 minutes. Make sure to dry the chickpeas as well as possible as they will be crunchier. You can add spices as per your requirement. Do not store them for too long as the chickpeas will become less crispy. You can try cinnamon roasted chickpeas, rosemary lemon chickpeas, honey roasted chickpeas.

The added benefit is that they can be added to salads and pasta as well.

Baked tofu snack
This snack has many ingredients in it and, hence, very flavorful. Tofu is rich in protein and is a great substitute for meat protein. It has an odor that some people may not like, so enriching the dish with spices helps.

    After washing and draining the tofu cubes thoroughly, add salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, and spices of your choice. Add soy sauce and olive oil and mix it well. Bake them till golden brown in an oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not store the snack for more than a day as it can go bad.
